The cat and dog danced with joy in a circle of knowing. They licked each other as long lost lovers would kiss; then they rolled and tumbled to finish in a curled knot on the worn fireside carpet. An instant serenade of humming and purring announced sleep. Amazed, Faith raised an eyebrow. Whoever said that cats and dogs don’t get along? Now it looks like I have one more mouth to feed. We are now a happy family of three.
